Find and check care
A room visit, or a remote visit?
If you are looking in Glendale, begin with the kind of visit you want. Then check the person who would assess you.

For an in-person visit, plan beyond the first meeting.
Think through travel, time away from work and how you would ask questions in the room. Ask about ongoing care before settling on a service.
- Who carries out the assessment?
- How are questions handled between visits?
- What happens if we decide against the proposed medicine?
Remote care still needs a proper assessment.
Telehealth means a health visit held from a distance, for example over video.
Under Arizona’s rules checked October 3, 2026, an in-person visit is not required before every remote prescription, meaning a medicine order.
The person assessing you must carry out a suitable exam and follow the rules that apply to the drug.
- Ask how to bring up the questions you have during the visit.
- Ask what happens if the assessment needs an in-person examination.
- Ask where you must be during the visit, especially if you travel.
What if your care comes from someone based in a different state?
Some health professionals based elsewhere could register for remote care with people physically in Arizona. This option was available as of October 3, 2026.
That registration does not permit in-person care here without an Arizona licence.
- Keep the person’s full name and licence type for your checks.
- Ask for the Arizona licence or remote-care registration number. If another law gives them permission, ask which law and board can confirm it.
- Get the name of the pharmacy as a separate question.
